GCLA EXPO – HANGS “10”

In California they say, “Life is Better at the Beach” and this week, those words rang true for more than 200 transportation professionals who attended our 2-Day trade show which was set against the Pacific Ocean in Redondo Beach, California.
The EXPO had an all-star lineup of industry luminaries and was supported by 30 event sponsors and exhibitors.
The EXPO was designed to be an association fundraiser and an outreach program for both members and non-members to the Greater California Livery Association.
The EXPO included networking events like the Getting to Know You reception that was attended by more than 40 operators and outdoor exhibits and demonstrations integrated with reception-styled food and drinks.
The EXPO offered educational programs including digital sales training, pricing strategies, Sustainability learning, Motorcoach recovery strategies, a motivational keynote and the 2022 Super Bowl Planning Session.
The EXPO was underwritten by vendors and key operators alike. Ford/Lincoln was a Platinum Sponsorship and partnered with South Bay Ford to debut the new 2022 Aviator. BMW showcased their 2022 new fleet vehicles and sponsored the Swag Bags; GMC/Motor City also debuted the 2022 Yukon Denali vehicles and Cadillac who worked hand-in-glove with Acton-SoCal Penske to show off their totally decked out ESV.

More shout outs go to

Century Business Solutions for provided breakfast and coffee; KLS for supplying water and for underwriting signage costs; to team Motev for the lanyards, the educational sponsorships and for getting Tesla to the EXPO! Also, to Elegant Image Limousine and LimoMarketer for sponsoring the Keynote; to Amerifuel, our fuel partner; to MCI for our event programs; to Lancer, Chosen Payments, Slade Services, TSG, Prevost, NFP, Limos4, Limo Anywhere, Moovs, TIB, Ferguson & Associates, and the California Bus Association for their support.

To add to the trade show flair, the GCLA Fundraising team worked extremely hard to host a Sports Trivia Night which attracted over 70 people! It was a lot of fun, but a lot of effort on the part of Tammy Carlyle, owner of Action Worldwide from Atlanta, Sarah McKee, marketing director for Chosen Payments and Jim Luff, marketing director for Ecko Worldwide. They raised and extra $2000 which will go directly to the GCLA advocacy fund.
Thanks to Robert Alexander, founder of RMA Worldwide for flying all the way from the East Coast in terrible storms to officiate the GCLA Expo. He did an excellent presentation on pricing strategies and as president of the NLA, he did a great job stumping for the CD/NLA show in October in Dallas and sharing this year’s NLA highlights with our group.
